Key Stage 1 Teacher

St. Stephen’s International School Bangkok campus is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teaching professional as a Key Stage 1 Classroom Teacher at our Bangkok Campus starting August 2018.

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the curricular and pastoral needs of their class. The Primary School follows the English National Curriculum for the teaching of English and Mathematics, modified to suit the needs of our learners, alongside the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). Specialist teachers take classes for Thai, Mandarin, PE and Music. In addition to your daily classroom duties you will support our after school activities programme and be responsible for your classroom assistant.

 

It is essential to:

  1. Be experienced in teaching within Key Stage 1
  2. Be a native English speaker
  3. Be appropriately qualified (e.g.  BEd or a first degree and a PGCE)
  4. Provide three professional referees, one of whom must be your current Principal

 

It is desirable to have experience of:

  1. Teaching the IPC
  2. Working with children for whom English is not their first language
  3. Working with children and parents whose cultural background is different from your own
  4. Working in the international sector

 

St. Stephen’s, Bangkok, is located in the north of Bangkok, close to Don Muang airport and the world famous Chatuchak market. The school is two form entry and caters for all ages from Nursery to Year 13.

Successful candidates for teaching posts will normally be offered a two year contract, renewable by mutual agreement.
