EXAMINATION RESULTS 2019

ANOTHER VERY GOOD YEAR FOR ST. STEPHEN’S STUDENTS

St. Stephen’s students in Years 11 - 13 had cause to celebrate after achieving another excellent set of examination results.

The Year 11 students achieved 88% grades A - C at IGCSE Level, with 44 % of those grades being either A or A*. This is well above UK averages, and close to the best ever results from the year before.

Of particular note were:

  • Boss, who achieved 7A*and 2A grades
  • Nana, who achieved 6A* and 3A grades
  • Jazz, who achieved 7A* and 1B grades

At AS Level an impressive 41% of grades were at the highest, A grade, level, with some very impressive individual results.

Of particular note were:

  • Boom and Ploydee, who both achieved 3 A grades and an A* in A Level Mathematics, a year early
  • Beauty and Pun, who both achieved 3 A grades and an A grade in A Level Mathematics, a year early
  • Nida, who achieved 4 A grades

At A Level nearly 60% of the Grades were either A or B

Of particular note was:

Ben, who achieved a grand total of 3 A* and 2 A grades

 

All Year 13 graduates gained places at their first choice of university around the world.

To add to their success students at St. Stephen’s also won several CAIE academic awards; four Top in the World awards at IGCSE Level for Mathematics and Mandarin, a High Achievement award for AS Chemistry and a Top in Thailand award for A Level Mathematics.

Principal, John Rolfe, commented.

It is satisfying to see the high standards of academic excellence being maintained. The results show that the school continues to cater well to all of our students. We mention the high achievers above, but all students have worked hard to reach their potential. The progress amongst many since they first joined the school has been tremendous. Well done to all

ST. STEPHEN’S STUDENTS ACHIEVE RECORD IGCSE EXAMINATION RESULTS - YET AGAIN

St. Stephen’s International School, Bangkok, is celebrating its best ever IGCSE results for the second year in a row. The Year 11 students achieved a 94% A* - C pass rate and, even more impressively, 54% of the grades awarded were either A* or A. This is above the previous best performance and well above UK levels. In addition, 92% of students achieved 5 or more A*- C grades and 45% of students achieved 5 or more A*- A grades.

AS and A Level Results were also excellent with a 98% pass rate across all examinations.

Of particular note were:
- Ben who achieved 4 As at AS level and an A at A Level Mathematics.
- Earn who achieved 3 As at AS level and an A at A-Level Mathematics.

All A level students were admitted to their university of choice.

Principal, John Rolfe, said,

“Our students just keep achieving more and more, which is a testament to their competitive nature and the standard of teaching. There are a large number of students with top grades, which is great to see, but it is also gratifying to see others doing as well as they can. We are a non-selective school and our results show that we do cater for all abilities”.
 

St. Stephen’s students achieve record IGCSE examination results 2017

St. Stephen’s International School, Bangkok, is celebrating its best ever IGCSE results. Year 11 students achieved a 92% A* - C pass rate and, even more impressively, 52% of the grades awarded were either A or A*. This is above the previous best performance and well above UK levels. In addition 50% of students achieved 5 or more A*/A grades and 97% of students achieved 5 A* - C grades.

Of particular note were:

- Earn who achieved 7 A* and 2 A grades

- Ben who achieved 6 A*, 1 A and 1B grades

- Tigger who achieved 5 A*, 2 A and 1 B grade

Principal John Rolfe said:

“These results are absolutely outstanding, and a great credit to both the students and teachers. The results are particularly gratifying as we are not an academically selective school. I am also particularly pleased to see that the vast majority of Year 11 students achieved grades A* - C in the IGCSE First Language English examination; a considerable achievement for second language learners. The standard, and number, of students moving into the Sixth Form bodes very well for this important area. Congratulations to all.”

Results were also very good at AS and A level with a 94% pass rate across all examinations.

In Year 13 36% of the grades awarded were either A or A*.

Of particular note were:

- Cherie who achieved 2 A* and 2 A grades

- York who achieved 1A* 2 A and I B grade

All of the Year 13 students a obtained a place at their first choice university with the majority attending universities in the UK.
