Year 7 students visited Baan Krai Buffalo Village in Suphanburi Province

Dec 16 2019

This week, our Year 7 students visited Baan Krai Buffalo Village in Suphanburi Province. They learned about how Asian buffalos were used on a farm and that domesticated water buffalo is often referred to as the "living tractor of the east." In Thailand every year 200,000 buffalos are killed for food with 150,000 kept for farming and ploughing. Year 7 enjoyed riding on the buffalo carts, and the buffalos themselves, and seeing buffalos so close in order to touch them. They were so gentle and so cute in our eyes. Not only were they learning about business they were learning to think about ethical and moral issues.
