house spelling bee competition

Oct 11 2019

This week the primary school children competed in a house spelling bee competition during lunchtime. They worked really hard to spell over 30 words. The year six house captains chose the words and acted as judges at the two competitions. The competitors were placed into groups and had to spell one word at a time, whoever misspelled a word was knocked out of the competition. The level was very high and four students competed in an even harder tie-breaker competition in front of the whole of the Primary School in the Thursday assembly. The children had great fun learning new words and earned a lot of points for their Houses. It was fantastic to see such a high number of students taking part. Congratulations to all the winners.
