IGCSE Chemistry Students Apply Practical Skills

Year 10 IGCSE students have been learning about structure and bonding as well as developing their practical skills.  In this practical where they monitor the temperature changes of stearic acid as it is heated and then allowed to cool they have learned that during melting and freezing the temperature of the stearic acid does not change during the change of state as a consequence of  endothermic or exothermic processes during bond breaking and bond forming.
