Year 7 watched a distillation demonstration in science

On Thursday 15 November 2018, SISKY Year 7 students eagerly watched a distillation demonstration in science. They revised the processes of evaporation and condensation and identified where and how the distillation apparatus created purified water through these  changes of state. Students applied this knowledge to the real-world dilemma of creating fresh water for plants, animals, and humans when our Earth has less than 1% freshwater. You can see the glee on everyone’s faces when the first drop of purified water fell into the beaker.
