The Community Exit Point

Apr 10 2023

Last Wednesday afternoon, Year 9 students participated in the Community Exit Point activity, which was based around an analysis of their ecological footprint. Prior to the session, they had to find the answers to some key questions about their lifestyle, and in the session they used a footprint calculator to establish how many Earth's would be needed if everyone lived the same lifestyle as them. Some were quite shocked by the results, and it made the students realise just how ‘privileged’ they are. We then discussed ways we could, as a community, reduce our ecological footprint.
