CONGRATULATIONS TO MOOK FROM YEAR 8

Oct 07 2020

The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (Australia) hosted the "7th Thailand Dance Grand Prix" from 10 to13 September. Thailand's national winner and the Grand Aggregate winner received the trophy of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
This was the first event of its kind held at national level, with categories ranging from classical ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern and demi character. The event
included solo, duo, and trio, as well as ensemble and group performances.
The competition’s aim is to create a platform where dancers from student to professional level can showcase their talents as well as improve their performance skills.
Participating in the event were more than 700 performers showcasing some 1,396 dances from 16 schools across Thailand, including Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, and Bangkok
In addition to selecting a national champion, the competition will also seek out Thai representatives to compete in the "Asia Pacific Dance Competition 2021" to be held in Singapore. This international event hosts hundreds of dancers from 10 Asian countries as well as from Australia, the UK and Canada.
St. Stephen’s is very pleased to announce that Mook of Year 8 achieved 3rd Place in the Modern Duo 13 & Under category, and 2nd Place in the Modern Jazz Ensemble 15 Under category. This is an outstanding achievement for which we are very happy and proud of Mook.
