Boarding Community Work
Monday 3 June was a school holiday for the majority of the school community. However, many of the boarders remained in school that weekend and paid respect to the new Queen by doing community work within school. They cleared a number of areas around the front of the school and planted flowers that everybody will be able to enjoy.
St. Stephen's Khao Yai Boarders Residential at Nakhon Nayok
On the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of March, the boarders travelled down to Nakhon Nayok with the residential staff for a fun packed residential.
Go Carting Excitement at the Nakhon Nayok Residential
St. Stephen's boarders took over the race track at Nakhon Nayok and roared their way around the course. Great fun was had by all.
Water Fun at the Nakhon Nayok Residential
St. Stephen's boarders enjoyed the water park on their Nakhon Nayok Residential.
The Annual Minigolf Championhsip!
The boarders always look forward to the annual 'minigolf championship' and this year was just the same. There was plenty of competition to get the lowest score for the round and a lot of fun was had on the way!
Clay Lantern Making
On Saturday 2 February 2019, boarding students took part in a clay lantern masterclass with Ms Amanda. Students really concentrated on what they were making and enjoyed doing a different actiity on the school site.
Boarding Trip To Khao Yai National Park
On Saturday 2 February the dorm students, accompanied by Mr Tui and Dr Kevin took a trek through the jungle of Khao Yai National Park. Many of the trees were amazing and clearly very ancient. We saw evidence of elephants, heard lots of wild-life and looked carefully at a giant ants next in the tree.
Boarding Students Visit to Ayutthaya
On Saturday 19th January the boarding students visited Ayutthaya Historical Site with Ms Amanda and Ms Carolyn. Many of the famous temples were visited and the students had an opportunity to cycle around, so getting fit too!
Boarding Students New Year Dinner 2019
The dorm students celebrated their return to school on Wednesday 9th January by visiting the ChChef Korean BBQ restaurant. With a choice of cooking food by Korean BBQ on your own table, choosing from a delicious buffet or having freshly cooked salmon, chicken, pork or beef steak cooked especially for you it was a real treat for everyone.
Thai Cooking
With Big Mountain bringing 100,000 people to Khao Yai this last weekend, the boarding students stayed on campus and practised their Thai cooking. Under the careful tutelage of Mr Tui the students produced some traditional Thai dishes and enjoyed themselves in the process...... and of course had all of the benefits of trying out their own cooking afterwards.
