Last Wednesday, our Year 2 students joined an exciting Thai field trip to Sampran Riverside, where they had the opportunity to engage in hands-on cultural activities. They learned to make banana steam cake and Thai gelatin desserts, painted paper cards using natural colourings, and crafted herbal toothpaste. Additionally, they enjoyed molding clay into elephant figures and trying a traditional Thai game—walking on coconut shells. Beyond these creative experiences, students also explored rice farming, discovered the role of earthworms in soil fertilisation, and learned how to make bio-insecticide from herbs and natural ingredients. It was a fun-filled and enriching day, deepening their understanding of Thai culture through interactive learning.
